I say you did pretty well. Better than anything I could do (then again, I have no musical ability whatsoever).

I feel like the vocals for the most part need to be brought out a little bit more. Listen to Ghosts 'n' Stuff by Deadmau5, the version with Rob Swire on vocals. I think something more in that style would work better with your song. Bring the vocals out more, and maybe add a slight echo.

As for my personal taste, there isn't much of a baseline, which is a must have for anything, especially techno. Having a kickin' baseline can mean the difference between a mediocre song and a great song. What you have now - the staticy-sounding thing (I don't know if there is an actual term for it or not) that starts at around 0:15, is just not what I would call good, for lack of a better term. Basically I think the base needs to be a bit clearer and deeper.

When I clicked on this thread I thought it was going to be a link to that instead. Crazy that something from only 5 years ago can sound so dated, but I guess that's the way things are these days. Takes me back though.

Regarding the OP, not my cup of tea, but I'm not one to judge anyone's musical taste especially considering I'm one of the 10 or so people left in the world who still listens to ska.

I don't even like this type of music yet I can't stop listening to it cuz every time I listen I hear something I didn't catch the last time and laugh cuz I feel the same way about most of the stuff.

"Just don't nerf warriors anymore, okay?!"

Love this song. I'm one of those people who sit in LA all day. xD
Had this song on repeat for just over an hour the other day. Would love to see some more from you.
